Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Artmux (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Artmux is an AI media generation platform offering both image generation (single-prompt to model output) and Previz, a staged video production pipeline that turns a script into a finished video through state-arc planning, shot lists, storyboards, and AI-generated video clips assembled into a final composite. Artmux routes prompts to multiple third-party AI providers and combines their outputs.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
4. Content Ownership and User Warranties
You retain rights to the prompts, briefs, character descriptions, uploaded reference images, and other inputs you provide. Outputs generated through the Service are subject to the terms of the underlying AI model providers (see Section 12) and may be used for personal and commercial purposes, subject to each provider's usage policies.
You warrant that:
- Your prompts, uploaded images, character references, and any other inputs do not infringe any third-party intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or other rights;
- You have all necessary rights, licenses, and consents to use and distribute any content you provide as input to the Service;
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you have distribution rights for any output you publish or share, including outputs that depict identifiable individuals or trademarked elements.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimers
You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated outputs are produced “as is” with no warranty of originality or non-infringement. Models may incidentally produce outputs that resemble copyrighted material, public figures, or trademarked elements.
- AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright registration in some jurisdictions under current law.
- Visual quality, character consistency, motion continuity, and lip-sync accuracy depend on third-party model behavior we do not control. Quality may vary by model, prompt, and input.
- Artmux applies content moderation by default to AI-generated outputs.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Artmux, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) inputs you provide to the Service; (c) outputs you publish, distribute, or otherwise use; or (d) your breach of these Terms, including the warranties in Section 4.
7. Credits and Billing
Credits are deducted upon successful generation. Failed generations are refunded automatically. Credits do not carry over between billing periods unless purchased as credit packs. Refunds for purchased subscriptions are handled per the jurisdiction of the original purchase. Per-stage credit accounting in Previz produces an itemized breakdown visible in your project; you can review costs before approving downstream stages.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Generate illegal, harmful, or exploitative content;
- Create non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), including realistic sexual, nude, or compromising depictions of real people without their consent;
- Use the Service as a face-swap tool or to generate deepfakes of real people without their explicit consent;
- Generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any exploitative imagery involving minors;
- Generate or distribute content that defames, harasses, or impersonates a specific individual;
- Use Previz character references to depict real persons without authorization (this includes uploading photos of real people as character references for video generation);
- Attempt to circumvent content moderation, rate limiting, or tier-based feature gating;
- Use the Service for spam, harassment, or malicious purposes;
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract AI model weights.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. Repeated content policy violations will result in a permanent ban. On termination, in-flight generations may be cancelled and unspent credits forfeited.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for: AI model outages, content filter rejections, output quality, character consistency, audio-visual sync accuracy, or third-party platform behavior (including social platforms where you publish outputs). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artmux's aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Privacy and Data Rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data. Use the Settings page to export or delete your account data. Note that when you delete your account, financial records (purchase history, refunds, tax records) may be retained as required by law; PII linked to those records is anonymized via one-way hashing.
12. Third-Party Vendor Pass-Through
Outputs generated through the Service are produced by third-party AI providers. By using the Service you acknowledge and agree to the applicable terms of each underlying provider, which may include (without limitation):
- Anthropic (Claude) — content moderation and narrative/director critique;
- OpenAI and Google — image generation;
- fal.ai and underlying image & video model providers (Veo, Kling, Hailuo, Wan, Hunyuan, and others) — image and video clip generation;
- Various image generation providers used for storyboard references.
You are responsible for reviewing and complying with each provider's terms when using outputs commercially.
13. DMCA / Copyright Complaints
If you believe content generated through the Service infringes your copyright, contact us with a takedown notice including the standard DMCA elements (identification of the work, identification of the alleged infringement, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury).
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
